The listed minimum pay reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Position Overview
- Works with Leadership, Supply Chain, and Account Payable to determine and address supply and equipment needs/ concerns. Advises of issues related to supplies and inventory and recommends solutions as necessary. Reviews ordering patterns and recommends additions and changes.
- Initiates all supply orders for the service line through Materials Management Inventory System (MMIS). Oversees and supports the replenishment of inventory locations when supplies are received and rotates inventory on a routine basis to minimize obsolescence.
- Researches and recommends potential substitutes for backordered supplies when necessary.
- Works with department leadership and providers to establish and maintain par levels based on utilization and, or minimum set requirements.
- Actively participates on Surgical Value Analysis Committee. Identifies expense reduction opportunities.
- Interacts with clinical managers and team members to facilitate new product evaluations and product standardization initiatives. Assures new product requests are initiated appropriately by physician or designee and are compliant with organizations value analysis program.
- Initiates Bill Only and Bill and Replace requisitions in a timely manner. Maintains cost center specific files of packing slips, purchase orders, trial products, and other related records.
- Supervises consignment audits performed by vendors. Maintains consignment inventory levels of multiple product lines.
- Oversees the acquisition of loaner devices, special order equipment, and arrangements for vendor support as needed.
- Researches and recommends new vendors and products for possible use. Participates in vendor negotiation discussions as needed.
- Collaborates with service line leadership to assist with budgeted monitoring. Provides usage/volume information to service line leadership for variance justifications.
- Receives biologic tissue into tissue tracking software as required. (Operating Room only)
- Acts as gatekeeper for any manufacturer recall related to product used within the area of responsibility
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education:High School diploma or GED.
- Experience:Two years experience in materials management to include one year experience in acute care healthcare environment. Experience in Operating Room or Interventional Radiology setting preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical device/supply terminology. Basic understanding of expense budgeting.
- Special Training:Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and materials management information systems
- Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Ability to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and external parties. Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships.
