Job Title: Materials Management Supervisor Ambulatory Operations
Department: Penn Medicine Radnor General
Location: Penn Medicine Radnor - 145 King of Prussia Rd
Hours: Mon-Fri office hours per department needs
Position is located fully onsite at Penn Medicine Radnor with limited travel to other Penn Medicine sites for onboarding, training & meetings. Position is Mon-Fri with a day shift schedule (details/more specific hours to be discussed upon interview).
Summary:
- The Materials Management Supervisor for Ambulatory Operations is responsible for supervision of all materials management distribution and procurement for identified and assigned practice locations. Ensures all related materials duties are completed. Areas include par stocking practice areas with required supplies. This position plays an integral role in inventory management of our Ambulatory Surgery Center (6 ORs, 4 Endo Suites) and partners closely with the Central Instrument Processing team to ensure instrumentation is delivered to and from designated areas throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supervision of all distribution staff including but limited to sufficient staffing, staff performance and adherence to Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Meets with key practice leaders to support materials management, procurement and inventory management.
- Provides invoicing and PennFor support for the assigned practice locations as requested for building and practice needs.
- Communicates with outside vendors to ensure that adequate par levels are on hand at all times.
- Makes frequent onsite practice rounds to ensure appropriate service levels are being performed.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for reporting on expenses, investigating invoices and POs & project work related to instrumentation expenses related to new and changes services in our surgery center and building overall.
Credentials:
- Driver's License (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- 2+ years’ experience in materials management
- 2+ materials management experience in healthcare (Preferred)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience (Preferred)
