SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)
Provides clinical services through performing of psychological assessments, testing, and evaluations, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, evaluating treatment plans, providing therapy, and making referrals for additional treatment needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Doctorate degree, PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology.
Experience:
Three years clinical experience as a psychologist. State licensure – NJ, PA as required.

Knowledge and Skills:
Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
Special Training:
Intermediate computer skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Selects, administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests and complete psychological assessments.
- Assesses patients and make recommendations on admission and discharge and on therapeutic activities.
- Provide education and coordination of care for ongoing therapy to patients and family members, as necessary.
- Conducts various forms of individual and group psychotherapy, including behavior modification and specialized treatment modalities such as DBT and interventions for cognitively impaired patients.
- Consults with medical personnel regarding patient status.
- Writes reports regarding patient progress, competency, and dangerousness.
- Participates in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings.
- Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees and unlicensed staff.
- Works collaboratively with other disciplines.
- Observes and intervenes in instances of disruptive and assaultive patient behavior.
- Initiates, designs, collaborates, and reports on psychological research or program evaluation.• Initiates, designs, collaborates, and reports on psychological research or program evaluation.
