Role Overview:
The major theme of our work in the Powell lab is how DNA repair processes are disrupted in human cancers and how this can be exploited therapeutically. We have largely focused on the role of double-strand break repair and homologous recombination in particular. As a Research Technician, you will be an essential part of our research team, working hands-on with a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment. Your contributions will help accelerate discoveries that improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
- Techniques & Assays: Perform specialized techniques, such as cell culture, cell separation, electrophoresis, TIA, ELISA etc.
- Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
- Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven basic laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.
