Job: Maintenance Planning- Scheduling Coordinator
Hours: Full-Time Days- 7:30am-4:00pm
Location: Lancaster General Hospital- 555 North Duke Street
Summary:
- Position Summary:
- Maintain the overall Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS for the Plant Engineering Department. Collect and analyze information to plan and schedule maintenance activities effectively. Monitor the status of work orders and prepare status reports to ensure work orders are completed on time.

- Responsible for purchasing parts and sourcing best pricing from vendor.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of critical spares.
- Perform field survey of mechanical electrical plumbing systems to capture equipment information and development of PM process.
- Create and maintain tracking system for equipment preventative maintenance.
- Participate in project construction meetings.
- Maintain the overall Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS , working with the I.T. Department and CMMS Vendor concerning upgrades and system issues.
- Process maintenance requests in the CMMS daily and distribute the work orders to the appropriate staff for assignments.
- Serve as a contact person for all maintenance request issues, providing information on the status of work orders.
- Maintain the history of infrastructure equipment in the CMMS, adding, deleting or modifying equipment as directed.
- Monitor the preventive maintenance program by generating status reports and following up with staff to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance work as required by TJC, DOH, CMS.
- Maintain filing system and documentation for completed work orders for compliancy.
- Set-up and train new users on the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
- Order repair parts and or contracted services as needed to support Plant Engineering.
- Create and distribute PMs each month to the appropriate trades.
- Plan and schedule equipment and utility shutdowns with the affected departments.
- Trace mechanical, electrical and plumbing utilities prior to utility shutdowns.
- Ensure work orders are completed timely and correctly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computers with detailed knowledge and experience with MS Excel and Word.
- Three 3 to five 5 years working knowledge of maintenance procedures operations.
- Two 2 to four 4 years experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Two 2 years of mechanical electrical plumbing experience.
- Degree or Certificate in Computer Science.
- Formal technical vocational training and journeyman experience.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- 3+ years working knowledge of maintenance procedures/operations.
2+ years experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
2+ years experience in a healthcare setting working with Joint Commission documentation.
4+ years experience in a healthcare setting working with Joint Commission documentation.
- Vocational/Trade Diploma
- Degree or Certificate in Computer Science preferred but not required.
2+ years mechanical/electrical/plumbing experience preferred
Formal technical/vocation training and journeyman experience preferred
