Weekend Clinical Admission RN Part-Time Evenings
Shift: 3pm-11:30pm
The Clinical Admission RN reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an access point resource for physicians, staff, and patients.
- Assist with the recommendation for the most appropriate level of care and patient status.
- Apply approved criteria and guidelines in decision making, as well as payers, such as managed care, rules and practices.
- Ensure a smooth admission experience for patients by coordinating clinical needs with operational processes and insurance benefits.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in nursing
- At least 3 5 years of experience in patient care experience in a hospital setting, experience in utilization management activities (e.g. review and assessing for meeting medical necessity criteria and appropriate status), admissions and discharge planning and/or case management
- Critical thinking, decisive judgement, problem solving skills, and the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong foundation of clinical knowledge
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate efficiency with job duties
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to learn computer skills in Microsoft Word, EMR, Midas systems within 30 days
- Able to multi-task quickly and process accurately
- Current RN license in the state of Illinois
