Location: 137 East Frederick Street, Lancaster, Pa (near Lancaster General Hospital)
Schedule: Full time (40 hours per week), Monday - Friday from 7:30am-4pm, no weekends, no holidays.
Position Summary:
The Diagnostic Imaging Quality Educational Coordinator works directly with the Diagnostic Imaging Quality Patient Safety Regulatory Manager. Collaborates on the processes related to TJC requirements, modality certifications and licensure. Responsible for the internal clinical auditing functions assuring that services are provided within the guidelines of state and federal regulations, and accrediting bodies. Coordinates the development of orientation and staff education programs for all levels of staff and management. Coordinates, evaluates, and monitors the implementation of all quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory processes and procedures throughout Diagnostic Imaging. Serves as an active collaborator, bridging inpatient and ambulatory services to build commitment for the delivery of high, quality patient care. Supports ongoing active rounding audit practices, as well as serving as a liaison to the front-line staff to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Related Degree or Three years of Supervisory Experience
- Five 5 years of Clinical Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Discipline
- One of the following Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health or Related Degree
- Computer skills: Intermediate Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
- Experience in facilitation of teams to drive quality and process improvement within a healthcare setting
