Overview
Over the past fifty years, Montefiore's Division of Services for Addiction has helped thousands of people enter recovery and re-join their families and communities. Through recovery, individuals are empowered to help find meaning in their lives and integrate back into their communities.
Under direction of the Operations Manager, this position coordinates and assists in the daily management of a large Opioid Treatment Program. The staff member must assist in ensuring the smooth operation of both the programs in accordance with Federal, State and local regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily management of the Opioid Treatment Program with a census of more than 1200 patients.
- Review and address clinic staff on documentation that is due or overdue.
- Assist in the coordination and review of all admissions, including intake paperwork, client assignments, etc.
- Participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of clinical policies, protocols and programs for Opioid Treatment Program Staff.
- Assist in the review of weekly billing to ensure that all billable documentation is completed, and treatment plans are in effect.
- In conjunction with Site Director, hire, supervise, evaluate and train counseling staff. Assist with annual reviews.
- Assist in the monitoring of STARS reports, HERDS reporting and Lighthouse census management.
- Assist in the management of fiscal operations, including supervising accounting clerks, collecting payments, meeting with patients who are fiscally non-compliant and cashing out.
- Assist in the review and management of incidents, loitering, incident reports, and patient noncompliance to ensure that all clinical issues are addressed. Meet with patients in IDCs and refer patients to Next Steps as appropriate, other higher level of care, or recommend for discharge.
- Kronos management.
- Assist in the development of systems to collect, monitor and report required data to OASAS.
- Participate in clinic case conferences, counselor training, CQI Committee and leadership meetings.
- Assist in the management of facility issues and conduct required drills.
- Assist in clinic staffing (vacation, counselor of the day, community tours, toxicology testing, backup counselor schedule, phone coverage, Saturday coverage, group schedule).
- Act as Operations Manager in his/her absence. This occurs daily from 2:30pm-6:00pm as there are two shifts at Port Morris. The first shift is 6:30am-2:30pm. This shift is 10:00am-6:00pm.
Requirements
- Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP).
- CASAC preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment.
- Prior experience in training and supervising staff required.
- Candidate must possess good interpersonal, communication and group facilitation skills.
- Must be creative and able to work well in a collaborative team environment, be highly organized and able to work well independently, possess excellent decision-making skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment. Must possess knowledge and experience with personal computers. Must have experience with databases, including Excel.
- Preferred experience working with marginalized populations.
The hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm – Monday through Friday. Must be able to work various shifts and locations depending on operational needs.
