Position Summary
The Graphic Designer in the Center for Digital Education works with a team to help create engaging graphic assets used for videos in online courses and various digital projects across in Olin and across the University. Under the direction of the Multimedia Production Manager, the Graphic Designer aids in the creation of supporting graphics. The person in this role must be a team player and have the ability to design according to best graphics and educational media practices.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Graphic Design
Work with the Multimedia Production Manager to design and create impactful visual designs for both web and videos. This may include graphics for the LMS, CDE branding materials, converting PowerPoint decks to a CDE template, infographics, charts and graphics for use in course videosand special projects.
Motion Graphics
Create dynamic motion graphics for course videos, which might include the visualization of concepts, complex charts and data, illustrative animations, character/simulation animation, title sequences, whiteboard-style animations, lower-thirds, transitions, and typographic animations.
Project Management
Manage course projects and other priorities simultaneously, expertly keeping track of tasks, stakeholders and deadlines; Imperative that course projects be managed effectively in order to provide prompt content delivery for students.
Project updates should be communicated to the Multimedia Production Manager with any concerns being made known.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$23.37 - $36.19 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
