Overview
Over the past fifty years, Montefiore's Division of Services for Addiction has helped thousands of people enter recovery and re-join their families and communities. Through recovery, individuals are empowered to help find meaning in their lives and integrate back into their communities.
To assist the Director of Finance in managing all fiscal issues for the Division including but not limited to assisting the Director of Finance in billing and collections relating to Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Medicare and third-party insurance and patient transportation. In addition, this position will also function as a patient advocate, perform fair hearings including documenting the decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit weekly billing files to Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, Medicare and managed Medicare plans.
- Prepare weekly reports to monitor billing errors, denials and collections.
- Liaison between the Business Office and clinics relating to setting and collection of self-pay fees.
- Assist in training and managing billing staff to maximize collections and minimize denials.
- Review and supervise Medicaid, managed Medicaid, Medicare, managed Medicare and third-party billing and collections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree Healthcare Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of working experience.
- Must be knowledgeable with regard to all billing guidance from various agencies.
This is a 100% Grant funded position.
