The Senior Clerk in the Dental Clinic will be able to prioritize assignments and office functions to ensure effective clerical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
- Check-in/ Check-out functions, answering phone calls, managing multiple provider schedules, handling customer service inquiries., schedule and confirm appointments for multiple dental specialties, verify patient eligibility, review and correct check-in errors in EMR work queues, support pre-determinations and collect outstanding account balances including but not limited co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance and other applicable balances.
Requirements
- High school or GED Required.
- One year of clerical experience working in a clerical capacity within a dental clinic or hospital setting.
- Experience verifying dental and medical insurance.
- Knowledge of dental terminology (CDT) and medical terminology (CPT) preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish Preferred.
