Location: Lancaster General Health in Lancaster, Pa
Position Summary:
The Manager Diagnostic Imaging Multi-modality is responsible for planning, coordinating, and oversight of clinical services in multiple areas of Diagnostic Imaging at all Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health (LGH) sites which include: Duke Street, WBH, Suburban Pavilion, Urgent Cares, and all other Ambulatory sites. Oversees the supervision and workflow of all services and functions in the assigned Diagnostic Imaging areas at all applicable LG Health sites. Maintains oversight of staffing, competencies, and quality of patient care. Provides human resources management and business support for all areas of responsibility.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for coordinating the delivery of Diagnostic Imaging (based on assigned modalities) services for all patients and customers across Lancaster General Health. This includes the appropriate use of equipment and resources as well as supplies, processes, and patient/staff schedules.
- Participates in budget preparation/management for the responsible areas, appropriately controlling expenses, optimizing resources and seeking opportunities for revenue growth. Provides input in the business and operations aspects of the service areas within the scope of responsibility.
- Supports the management team by providing leadership throughout assigned areas of Diagnostic Imaging. This includes developing and monitoring processes that optimize the quality of care and the safety of patients and employees.
- Assists the director and medical leaders in project development and execution including planning, justification, and implementation. Serves as a role model for change management, problem solving and process improvement. Manages contention and problem analysis in a professional, non-punitive, and collegial manner. Effectively manages projects to specified timelines and targets, utilizing teams of subject matter experts as needed.
- Manages employees in areas of responsibility through the recruitment and retention process, performs and/or reviews performance evaluations and oversees corrective action as necessary. Works to provide developmental opportunities and constructive feedback to achieve high performance from team members and ensure employee satisfaction. Serves as a mentor to others.
- Develops strong, positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, customers, team members, vendors, and others within the organization and industry. Communicates professionally and demonstrates appropriate judgment when managing escalating issues or when informing others.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and safety for all assigned services including but not limited to LGH and departmental Policies & Procedures, JCAHO standards, PA DOH regulations, ARRT, ACR, AABB, FDA, CAP and the professional Code of Ethics
- Maintains professional acumen, participates in professional organizations, maintains continuing education as required by professional certification boards.
- Participates in applicable hospital committees as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a health-related field
- 3+ years Three years of formal leadership experience in Diagnostic Imaging or other related healthcare field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, preferably in a business, healthcare, or quality field
- Certification in a clinical discipline by one or more nationally certifying bodies.
