ResponsibilitiesThis position works as part of the regional urgent care department with the primary work location in Eau Claire, WI with expectation to float to the Menomonie Urgent Care location periodically as needed. This position synthesizes large amounts of complex data provided by patient and family, combined with information gathered during an appropriate exam to determine a diagnosis and treatment plan. Typical rate of patient is three to four patients per hour. Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively educate patients and families, and communicate medical information to other providers as needed.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and certification as a FNP required.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain BLS certification. Must hold or be eligible for DEA registration.
