Overview
The WeCARE Supervisor of Clinical Assessment Services will supervise all Assessment staff, who will be responsible for providing intake services to all WeCARE clients.
Responsibilities
- The Supervisor of Clinical Assessment Services’ role is to lead, support, and advise the Assessment team to ensure that they comply with all NYC HRA contractual requirements. This will entail developing relationships with medical and psychiatric treatment providers in order to make necessary referrals and obtain necessary documentation.
- The Supervisor will assist with Navigation, clinical assessment & reassessment coordination/ communications with Senior Health Mental Specialists (Qualified Health Professionals), etc.
- Understanding of the criteria to meet listing requirements which appear in the SSA Blue Book of Impairments.
- Knowledge of common medications for treatment of routine medical/mental health conditions in order to obtain an appropriate medical history.
- Knowledge of common medical/mental health conditions relates to documenting a relevant medical history. In addition, develop relationships with community-based organizations for client assistance referrals.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree required.
- 3 years’ experience.
- NYS professional license LMSW, LCSW or LMHC, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), or other credentialed professionals as may be approved by HRA.
- Skills navigating clients in clinical assessments include Medical/health diagnoses and impact on an individual’s functional capacity; Behavioral health diagnoses and impact on an individual’s functional capacity; Requirements to qualify for Federal Disability Benefits.
- Associate must have ability to assist in the development of detailed policies and procedures.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Associate must have excellent verbal and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to respond to requests from many people and departments.
- The ability to focus and have strong attention to detail is mandatory.
- Knowledge of various software systems including SEAMS, EPIC, etc.
- Possess strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
