Capital Health Medical Center is seeking a per diem, Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our vibrant and rapidly expanding team. The Orthopedic Surgery Section at Capital Health provides a full continuum of services, from pre-admission through your hospital stay to after-discharge follow-up. The department is staffed by specially trained nurses, inpatient rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals trained in the care of orthopedic patients. As the first Mercer County hospital to perform total hip and total knee joint replacement surgery, Capital Health has decades of experience getting patients back on their feet.

Opportunity Details:
- Provides surgical and non-surgical care to complex orthopedic trauma patients including those with pelvic fractures, complex, intra-articular fractures, bone defect surgery, treatment of osteomyelitis, non-unions and other complex pathologies
- Orthopedic Trauma coverage in the Bristol-Myer Squibb Trauma Center (BMSTC)
- General Emergency Department Orthopedics coverage at Capital Health Regional Medical Center (RMC) and Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell (HPW)
- Provide orthopedic coverage at Capital Health’s Orthopedic Clinic at RMC
- Provide in-patient orthopedic consult services on both RMC and HPW campuses
- Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases including pelvic fractures, complex long bone
- This is not a teaching position - clinical only
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic surgeon with experience at an ACS verified Level I or II trauma or who have been fellowship-trained in Orthopedic traumatology
