We are hiring an Application Support Analyst for our Epic Systems and Technical Support team. This team is responsible for site assessments, software builds, (TDR) technical dress rehearsals, device installations, testing and implementations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Epic, incorporating all technical hardware and software components.
This position requires some on-site work at our locations throughout the health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support via ServiceNow, managing incidents and service requests related to team-owned products and services to ensure timely resolution and operational continuity.
- Collaborate with clinicians, SMEs, and IT teams to align device workflows with clinical needs, ensuring a superior end-user experience.
- Assist with site surveys to evaluate hardware/network requirements and support technical readiness activities, including device labeling.
- Assist with Epic print mapping and technical dress rehearsals (TDRs), validating peripheral devices, print queues, and workstation integration.
- Perform testing and support for third-party applications (e.g., Dragon, VPSX, BCA), ensuring seamless integration with Epic systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain a range of IT hardware and software including mobile devices, scanners, printers, and specialty medical peripherals.
- Create clear documentation using Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Visio, etc.) to support deployment, issue resolution, and communication.
- Liaise with cross-disciplinary teams to translate specifications into functional solutions, convert workflows to logical flow charts, and analyze feasibility.
- Validate software deployments and updates, troubleshoot failures, and retest resolved issues using Epic test scripts and output tools.
- Support Epic applications and related technologies (e.g., Rover, Proprio, e-signature devices) with proactive issue tracking and resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Current certification in at least one Epic module (with continued certification as a condition of employment).
- Experience with full software/application implementation lifecycle.
- Strong background in device management (mobile and desktop), hardware configuration, and integrated workflows.
- Familiarity with legacy systems and desktop applications.
- Skilled in testing methodologies including Epic, UAT, and regression testing.
- Hands-on experience with Epic Technical Dress Rehearsals and go-live preparation.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn in fast-paced environments.
- Availability for on-site work and flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends during go-lives.
- Meeting all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment.
Desired:
- ServiceNow experience.
- Knowledge of third-party applications such as Dragon (medical dictation), VPSX (Epic Print Server), (BCA) Business Continuity Access (Epic Downtime).
- Deployment experience.
