SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)
Operates efficiently cash register to receive and record all items purchased. Exhibits hospitality and positive customer service to all individuals encountered in their work environment. Maintains adequate supplies, cleans and sanitizes equipment and tables in work area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Processes accurate payment of cash, credit card and payroll deduction for purchased items. Follows all established accounting and cash register procedures. Balances cash drawer to within .5% of gross sales at end of shift. Completes cashier report accurately and consistently.
- Greets and addresses all customers with a smile and in a pleasant manner. Resolves customers' complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
- Restores appropriate food and condiment supplies to specified levels before and during service.
- Cleans and sanitizes all food service equipment and utensils according to weekly/daily sanitation checklist. Cleans and sanitizes chairs, tables and seating area as needed on a frequent basis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Experience: One year previous experience.
