The Carrier Clinic Admissions Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.
Performs timely medical clearance reviews for all patients referred to Blake Recovery Center and Carrier Clinic. Assures all patients who present at Carrier's Admissions Department are appropriately evaluated and treated. Completes psychiatric history and mental status evaluations on patients and assigns them to the appropriate level of care. Per Diem Physician Assistant will assist in unit rounding shifts, admissions shifts as they open. Day, evening and overnight coverage. Minimum 1 year experience as a Psych PA required.
