Summary:
Oversees all aspects of culinary operations, including menu development, staff management, food safety, and compliance with dietary and medical nutrition standards. Manages cooks and collaborates closely with dietitians and foodservice personnel to ensure high-quality meal service. Leads the creation of nutritious, visually appealing, and comforting meals, while also planning and developing retail and catering menus. Demonstrates a deep understanding of both culinary arts and clinical nutrition, a strong commitment to quality and safety, and a heart for service in a healthcare setting—all while fostering a positive workplace environment.
The starting annual salary for this position is $82,403 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Associate’s Degree in a related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in a large scale or healthcare food service environment, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
2. Certification in a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a large scale or healthcare food service environment, including eighteen (18) months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time experience in a large scale or healthcare food service environment, including eighteen (18) months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have procurement, leadership, and culinary experience.
