Responsibilities
- Performs therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.
- Responds to and provides assistance with cardiopulmonary arrests.
- Maintains all respiratory equipment.
- Provide Respiratory support to all patients with abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function.
- Administration and monitoring of all diagnostic and therapeutic modalities within the service's scope of practice.
Requirements
- An Associate degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy, Bachelor's preferred.
- Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Program or Certificate of completion from an AMA accredited program A current NY State Respiratory Therapist License.
- RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current BLS by the American Heart Association or Red Cross required, ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of one year preferred.
